The aim of Parkwood is to support tenants to live independently.
It gives tenants the security and privacy of a home of their own, a range of facilities and 24 hour flexible care and support on site.
Parkwood Extra Care Housing is a partnership between three organisations:
- The Wrekin Housing Trust
Who own and have landlord responsibilities for the building and the housing management services
- Telford and Wrekin Council
Who are managing the care and support contract
- Accord Care & Support
Who are providing the care and support service.
Partnership
The Wrekin Housing Trust and Accord Care and Support Services work in partnership to ensure all tenants receive a high standard of service.
Safety and security
Parkwood has achieved the prestigious Secured by Design award given by the Secured by Design Official Police Security Initiative.
It is covered by CCTV which enables building security to be monitored by the on-site staff.
All apartments have a videophone door entry system, which allows tenants to view and speak to visitors and open the door remotely without having to leave their apartment.
